The CrazyOld Fart started life as the Creative Young Hellion. There are stories about poking cougars in trees and other boyish escapdes, but those we'll save for the "Stories" page. One fond childhood memory recalls the wholesale tropical fish business he ran with his father. The father had invented a special fish food blend and had named it “Tang”. A few years later some high-falootin’ food company paid Dad a nice chunk of change to obtain the rights to the name “Tang” for some new–fangled drink mix. “Now,” the Crazy Old Fart muses, “I’ll bet it wasn’t nearly enough money that they paid.”
The Creative Young Hellion joined the U.S. Navy in 1959. There he met the Beautiful Blonde and fell in love. They were married and he became the Dutiful New Husband (with a twinkle in his eye). He served his country as dutifully as he served his family and soon two children were born. Now he was the Dutiful New Dad. The happy family missed the Dutiful New Dad as he left them for long periods of time to serve his country, but he always brought them presents and funny stories of his escapades. When he wasn’t winging his way around the world taking chances, saving lives and hanging out of airplanes, the Dutiful New Dad spent his time inventing crazy games and stories for his children and doing other “dad” things.
Then another child was born, but he only lived a few hours. The Dutiful New Dad became the Strong Supportive Husband. When another baby girl was born, he was once again the Dutiful New Dad. She was a special baby, she had the same illness that her brother had died from, cystic fibrosis. The Dutiful New Dad and the Beautiful Blonde vowed to treasure every week that they would have this little angel.
Sadly, the Beautiful Blonde became ill and passed from this life. The Dutiful New Dad was now the Overwhelmed 
Widower raising three children and still serving his country. A new wife and two new chidlren followed. He was now the Serious Husband. The angel-girl baby passed from this life.The new wife chose a different lifestyle and left the Serious Husband.
The Serious Husband chose to become a Dedicated Forever Bachelor Father. For many years he went to work and lived for his children. He thought about the old days but never made any plans for the future. All he wanted, he said, was to live long enough to see his children become adults. He went out on a date...once....and said it just didn't matter any more.
But fate was not going to have any of that! Ten years later he met and married the Crazy Redhead and the rest....well...is just Crazy Old Fart History!
